I'm Sara, a certified professional photographer and contemporary photographic artist based in Salzburg. As a child, I grew up bilingual in English and German, splitting my time between the UK and Austria. Experiencing different cultures and impressions at a young age was always exciting to me, and I soon felt a deep desire to capture the extraordinary and the beautiful—or to preserve a special moment as an everlasting memory. With curiosity and a keen eye for detail, I've managed to keep a sense of childlike wonder. Always in search of hidden perspectives, I quickly developed an interest in art—especially in photography. This passion has stayed with me ever since. Nach meiner Ausbildung in Textil & Design in Salzburg und Wien entschloss ich mich, nach England zurückzukehren, wo ich im Bereich Marketing, PR und Medien tätig war, unter anderem auch für 'The Economist' in London. Gleichzeitig habe ich als freiberufliche Fotografin und Fotokünstlerin gearbeitet und dabei meine fotografischen Fähigkeiten verbessert und weiterentwickelt. Nach 8 Jahren Aufenthalt in England kehrte ich nach Österreich zurück. Mit der abgeschlossenen Meisterprüfung für Fotografie in der Tasche gründete ich 'SARA BUBNA photography' und bin seither als zertifizierte Berufsfotografin selbstständig . Ich habe mich auf kommerzielle Fotografie mit Architektur-, Produkt-, Business und Food-Fotografie für Geschäftskunden sowie auf exklusive Hochzeitsfotografie, Familienfotos, Portraits und Fine-Art Fotografie spezialisiert. Einen Querschnitt meiner Arbeiten sind im Portfolio zu sehen. Beim Landespreis der Berufsfotografen im März 2021, wurde mir der 1. Platz für das beste Hochzeitsfoto und der 2. Platz für die beste Food-Fotografie verliehen. Für den World Photographic Cup 2022 (WPC) hat die Bundesinnung für Fotografie unter allen Einsendungen der österreichischen Berufsfotografen die besten Arbeiten in 6 Kategorien ausgewählt. Beim WPC 2022 messen sich Nationalteams aus 36 Ländern mit ihren besten Fotografen. Eines meiner Bilder hat den Sprung in das österreichische Nationalteam geschafft und wurde in der Kategorie "Wedding" nominiert. Zurzeit arbeite ich intensiv an zwei völlig neuen Projekten. Fotografie ist natürlich ein Bestandteil davon, aber mehr darf ich noch nicht verraten. Bald gibt es dazu mehr Einzelheiten! Persö nliches Ich liebe meine kleine Familie & meine Freunde und freue mich, dass wir das Leben wieder leben und gemeinsam unbeschwert feiern können, dafür findet sich immer einen Anlass ;-) Genieße unseren Garten und verbringe gerne viel Zeit in der Natur, bin sehr gerne im See oder am Berg, Hauptsache in Bewegung. Bin eine leidenschaftliche Grünen-Teetrinkerin und habe eine unkontrollierbare Schwäche für gute Schokolade. Musik hören gehört ebenfalls zu einer meiner langen Wegbegleiter, am liebsten analog und dafür lege ich mir gerne alte Blues, Soul oder Funk Schallplatten auf. Dann ist da noch das Reisen, neue Länder, Landschaften, Kulturen und Menschen kennenzulernen und mich in der jeweiligen einheimischen Küche durchzukosten ist ein wunderbares Lebensgefühl für mich. Zugegebenermaßen bin ich ein absoluter Symmetrie-Freak, klare Strukturen finde ich super und brauche immer ein Ziel vor Augen. Kunst, Moderne Architektur kombiniert mit schönen Antiquitäten lassen mein Herz mit Begeisterung höher schlagen. Es ist ein schönes Gefühl, dass ich mit meinen Fotografien anderen Freude bereiten und für eine lange Zeit Erinnerungen sichtbar machen kann. Zudem führt mich mein Beruf an die schönsten Plätze Salzburgs, Österreich und quer durch Europa und freue mich immer wieder, wenn sich auch internationale Fotoaufträge mit meiner Reiselust in der Ferne verbinden lassen.
