Chiaroscuro food photography is my absolute favorite style in food photography. Inspired by yesterday, it was time to try it myself!

Chiaroscuro, Italian for "light-dark", is the use of strong contrasts between light and dark, usually bold contrasts affecting a whole composition, developed by the painter Caravaggio and some of the Dutch Masters' still lifes, in the 16th Century.
